Rain, rain Get the hell out! And never come back again!

The sweet smell of fresh cut grass, hot dogs and peanut shells was swapped for the sour smell of a wet dog, mushy buns and belligerant drunks. Quite possibly the worst opening day ever.

I skipped school every year for OD back in Kansas City to enjoy the day with the Royals. Every year brought the same weather; 70 and sunshine. This is the first year I skipped work for St. Louis...Not a good start.

The only bright spot was the Cardinals scoring 5 runs in the first two innings. Unfortunately none of them count.

After they called the game,we headed off to Al Hrabosky's ( it's an establishment) and had a few beers in the VIP area. Some douche whos family owns the Post-Dispatch was drinking grey goose straight from the bottle, and Nikko Smith got lapdances from fat girls. It was entertaining, but I'd rather have my baseball.

Opening Day...Kind of

Today the Civil war game will be played between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Mets in some lame ass uniforms ( don't get me started.)

Anyway a couple of days ago Nike launched the Opening Day pack of Air Jordan I to commemorate MJ's attempt to play baseball. Great looking shoes, especially the white. The baseball stitch is a nice touch.

I'll be taking the same pinstripe cues for my Easton cleats in this year's All-Star game in Yankee Stadium...check back in a couple months for an update on that.
